This is the blog of J. Sørensen. I work in the office of a construction company and has done this for some years.

I was forced out of Copenhagen

I used to work in an office for a retail business in Copenhagen, but as with most capitals of countries Copenhagen has also become too expensive for ordinary people to live in.

Fact is that new rich people moves into town and they want quietness like they were living in their old mansion in a remote forrest. So they battle ordinary businesses for ordinary people like bars and discos. Too much noise they say.

Also people drinking in the streets are forced away. In my old neighborhood around Mozarts place a metro is in construction. That means that rich people suddenly find that part of Copenhagen who was a neighborhood housing working class people and people on welfare, interesting.

Suddenly the people on welfare who has no other fulfillment in life than drinking with their friends are not allowed that. The new rich population complain and complain and they find themselves forced to move out of Copenhagen to Brøndby, Ishøj and Hundige where the gang wars are, killing people every year.

I decided to move before I was forced out. Only this year our parliament has realized that poor renters were tricked to move out of their apartment so the houseowners could sell to US investment firms which then put the rent up with 800 percent making the apartment out of reach of ordinary working class Danes.

Denmark under Covid-19 is about to change for the worse

Right now Denmark is hit hard by the Chinese Covid-18 virus. In fact I without doubt believe that Denmark are the hardest country on this planet to live in. We have to de-friend. We are not allowed to be among more than 5 friends. It is hard to break up old friendships but if you as a Dane do not drink with a person, you are not friends and the Danish government has asked us to be among only 5 friends for the rest of the year. I was lucky that not all my friends de-friended me but not every Dane is so lucky. They end up alone, isolated and depressed.

The Danish people party now speaks about putting up a border fence along the border to Germany – 4 meters high, so we can keep the infected people out just as in “The Living Death”. Global warming seems to fix the issue with people swimming the 18 kilometers to Sealand because sharks have been observed in Danish waters now.

Today bars can only house 50 people and people have to wear mask if they are not sitting down drinking or eating. The Danish parliament has introduced laws which allows them to force people to take a vaccine when they decide it is ready, not when outside media tell otherwise. There are restrictions in schools, restrictions in workplace. Every day is now a real ordeal. Gone are the days of happiness and at least 100,000 Danes have been fired from their job since the start of the year.

No. Denmark is no more fun.

Is it all worth it anymore?

Right now knowing how awful life is at retirement homes in Denmark where the employees are al those who could not become anything else. People have been observed sitting in their unchanged diapers for a full day. Staff speak awful language to the residents in language, they do not understand.

No. Can it just not end soon?

This is not worth it. Life is no longer fun as a Dane.
